As an expert in all operational and organizational aspects of benefits administration and the Third Party Administrator (TPA) vendor market, Miriann is responsible for assisting clients in evaluating how well their organizations support their mission and business needs, and their effectiveness and quality of benefits delivery/services to internal and external stakeholders. Her areas of expertise include:
During her career at Segal, Miriann supported over 20 public pension and benefits systems and provided services to over 200 clients that include multiemployer plans across all industries/trades, as well as single employer plans in the public sector and corporate markets. She has many years of experience reviewing the various ways in which technology can be leveraged to support these processes.
Miriann performed over 50 operational and organizational reviews for self-administered benefits plans. Miriann’s expertise also includes in-depth medical claims administration and quality control procedures.
Prior to joining Segal in August 2001, Miriann worked 10 years for a large TPA specializing in the administration of Taft-Hartley/multiemployer plans, where she handled administration, marketing, new account implementation and project management – as well as ongoing client service matters – for a variety of health and pension plans. From 1986 to 1991, Miriann held positions in Human Resources handling all types of benefits, compliance procedures (including COBRA, EEOC, OSHA), recruitment and payroll administration.
Miriann received a BA in Human Resources Management from Baruch College of the City University of New York.
