Nati is a Vice President, Consulting Actuary in Segal’s New York office with more than 20 years of experience. He has specialized expertise on a wide range of employee benefit services, including plan design, actuarial analysis, development of funding strategies in alignment with corporate objectives and the determination of accounting implications associated with ongoing plan operations. He also works with corporations on benefit and de-risking strategies and plan management. Nati has extensive experience consulting on corporate pension valuations under ERISA and PPA as well as FAS and IAS pension accounting. He also has experience with post-retirement health and welfare benefit plans. He has worked on many special projects including plan redesign, curtailments and financial modeling. He consults to both large and small pension plan sponsors, including corporate and nonprofit clients. Nati currently serves in this capacity for some of the firm’s key client relationships, including companies in the sports, satellite and communications and performing arts industries.
In addition, Nati is one of Segal’s New York Corporate subject matter experts on various technical and actuarial topics such as ERISA minimum funding / regulatory developments for DB pension plans. He also leads the New York Corporate Mediation Committee, responsible for maintaining current actuarial reports and documents, and serves as research actuary.
Nati received a BA in Mathematics from Yeshiva University and a MA in Economics from New York University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
