Yelena is a Senior Vice President in Segal's Compensation and Career Strategies practice, affiliated with the New York and Princeton offices. She has more than 18 years of experience conducting compensation assessments for nonprofit organizations, including healthcare systems, hospitals and higher education institutions. These assessments include external competitiveness and internal equity analysis, as well as plan redesign and implementation. She has been involved in the evaluation and design of executive reward systems as well as broad-based employee pay structures across all industries. Yelena also works with organizations to help develop and implement performance management programs that are aligned with organizational culture and goals, as well as training the participants.

Yelena has served public and private clients in a variety of industries, including non-profit, higher education, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, retail, telecommunications and professional services, in the following areas:

Prior to joining Segal in 2003, Yelena was an Account Executive for Exploring, a division of the Boy Scouts of America, in New York, NY, specializing in event planning and fundraising.

Yelena earned a BS with Honors in Finance and Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University. She is a Certified Compensation Professional and Certified Benefits Professional as recognized by WorldatWork. Since 2012, Yelena has also served as the Website Chair on the Executive Board of the New Jersey Compensation Association.
