Prior to joining Segal, Nura was as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences at Arizona State University. In addition to teaching classes for math majors, she conducted independent and collaborative research in functional analysis, operator algebras and dynamical systems.
Nura earned a BAE in Secondary Education, an MA in Mathematics and a PhD in Mathematics from Arizona State University. She is an Associate of both the Society of Actuaries and and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Nura has received the firm’s prestigious Quality Star Award.
Nura has spoken on theoretical mathematics at numerous national and international conferences and co-authored several articles appearing in peer-reviewed mathematical journals including the Journal of Operator Theory and the Houston Journal of Mathematics.
