David is a Vice President and Consulting Actuary in Segal's New York office. His responsibilities include reviewing actuarial valuations, including annual minimum funding calculations and annual expense and disclosure calculations. Along with helping clients to investigate merits of changes to pension plan design and pension funding strategy, he performs analysis and gives advice regarding nonqualified pension plans including annual expense calculations and plan design. He constructs and reviews asset liability models to investigate impact of alternative asset allocations. He also provides advice regarding administration of defined benefit pension plans.
Prior to joining Segal, David was a Pension Analyst for CIGNA’s Retirement and Investment Services in Hartford, CT.
David received a BA in Mathematics from Holy Cross College (Worcester, MA). He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary. He became a CFA Institute Charter holder in 2014.
