Amy is a Vice President and Actuary in the West Region, affiliated with Segal’s Phoenix office. She has more than 18 years of experience as a health actuary. Her background includes technical and employee benefits consulting in both the public and private sectors as well as experience with several health insurers. As a consultant, her responsibilities include a focus on pricing, plan design and contribution modeling, developing budgets, updating forecasts and reserve estimates, supporting vendor selection and procurement activities, performing retiree drug subsidy attestations and identifying savings opportunities.
Prior to joining Segal, Amy was most recently at Willis Towers Watson (WTW), where she was Associate Director and the lead consultant for several employers, including one of the largest accounts in North America. At WTW, Amy managed a team of junior-level analysts. Previously, she was a Healthcare Consultant at Gabriel Roeder Smith & Company. Earlier in her career, she was with USHEALTH Group Administrators. She began her actuarial career at HealthMarkets.
Amy is a magna cum laude graduate of Texas Christian University (Fort Worth, TX) with a BS in Mathematics with an Actuarial Concentration. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
