Moshe is a Vice President in Segal’s New York office with over 20 years of experience in human resources and benefits plan consulting. He works with clients in a wide range of industries, including professional service firms, sports leagues, manufacturing and higher education. Moshe offers specialized expertise in the use of technology to create, design and deploy human capital solutions.

His expertise is recognized throughout the company through his training seminars on developing user-friendly analytical models. He is regularly consulted for special projects requiring in-depth analysis and specialized technical solutions.

His past and current client work includes:

  • Pay equity: Conducting comprehensive, objective, statistical analyses of multiple variables and their relationship to compensation in order to determine the primary drivers of pay. Assisting legal counsel in rendering legal advice on issues related to compensation equity among different genders, races and ethnicities, and preparing and delivering highly skilled presentations to boards of directors as well as to broad employee populations.
  • Workforce planning: Creating a staffing model that identifies workforce gaps and computes resource needs based on several variables, which has been successfully implemented at various higher education institutions, and has been used to develop Segal’s approach to staffing.
  • Compensation/rewards: Designing salary structures, merit pay programs, pay administration guidelines and variable compensation plans for a wide variety of organizations. He is proficient at designing short and long-term performance-based incentive plans that reward value creation and share a portion of that success with the workforce.
  • Performance management: Helping various professional sports leagues establish a framework for enhancing the quality and consistency of their officiating program. Moshe also frequently uses high-level statistical methods to support the leagues in defending attacks from a variety of sources, including the media, teams and potential lawsuits.

Prior to joining the Compensation & Career Strategies practice, Moshe was an Actuarial Associate in the firm’s Retirement Consulting practice, where he gained experience preparing valuations for corporate pension plans as well as for post-retirement health and welfare benefits plans. Additionally, he has worked on special projects involving asset liability models and curtailments.

Moshe graduated cum laude from Yeshiva University, where he received a BA in Mathematics.
