The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) provides a 100 percent subsidy of COBRA premiums beginning on April 1, 2021, through September 30, 2021, with subsidies being paid to plan sponsors through a payroll tax credit. The government is required to issue model notices required to be sent to participants concerning subsidy eligibility and a new election period no later than April 10, 2021.
This webinar which took place on April 13, 2021, explained how the subsidy works and discussed the guidance published by the government.
